When the time came to reinterpret its watches for divers in precious metals, Tudor replica went for both winning silver and gold.
The new 39 mm copy Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight and Black Bay Fifty-Eight 18K are its first divers’ watches to respectively shine in silver and yellow gold.
Instead of a bright finish typical of a gold watch, the yellow gold case is entirely satin-finished for a matte effect. Likewise, the incandescent 925 silver case has a pleasing matte satin finish.
For the first time, Swiss Tudor’s copy watches online for divers are more revealing as the open case back and sapphire crystal offer a view of the self-winding mechanical movement.
Tudor has honed its expertise in this horological category since the 1950s. Launched in 1954, the Reference 7922 waterproof to 100m represents the Swiss brand’s tool-watch philosophy for performance underwater.
Over seven decades, the constant development of its divers’ watches has resulted in many other models including those that have gained unanimous acclaim from professionals, particularly from some of the world’s greatest military navies.
The cheap fake Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight family takes its name from 1958 when Tudor introduced reference 7924 or Big Crown, waterproof to 200m.
Maintaining the characteristic proportions with a 39mm case, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight is designed for slim wrists, people who like more compact watches and vintage enthusiasts alike.
Like other models in the Black Bay range, the design features angular Snowflake hands that have been a signature of Tudor watches for divers since 1969.
The new perfect replica Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight 18K features yellow gold Snowflake hands and applied hour markers on a domed dial in a rich golden-green tone. Swiss Super-LumiNova luminescent material ensures readability in the dark.
The unidirectional rotatable bezel is also in yellow gold while the 60-minute graduated disc is in matte green anodised aluminium with gold gilded markings and numerals.
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925 differs with the dial and bezel insert in a taupe colour that contrasts with the alloy, whose composition is kept a secret and properties don’t affect the appearance of the case.
These latest timepieces come with the choice of two straps, including one in Jacquard fabric with a matching green or taupe. One of Tudor’s hallmarks, the fabric is woven in France on 19th-century Jacquard looms by the Julien Faure company in the St-Etienne region.
Both high-end replica watches are powered by the Manufacture Calibre MT5400, whose rotor in tungsten monobloc is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details. Bridges and mainplate have alternate sand-blasted, polished surfaces and laser decorations.
Together with its non-magnetic silicon hairspring, the movement is certified as a chronometer by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute, with its performance going beyond the standards set by this independent institute.
The power reserve is “weekend-proof”, that is to say about 70 hours, which enables the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to reset it.
